The British esports organization, Oxygen Esports, and Kraft Group’s Boston Uprising agreed to join Call of Duty League together. The deal includes both CDL and Overwatch League rights.
OpTic Chicago and Dallas Empire decided to form OpTic Texas and compete together in CDL. After this agreement, Dallas Empire’s owner Envy Gaming had to sell their spot to another organization. Today, Oxygen Esports and Boston Uprising announced their partnership to acquire Envy’s spot in the Call of Duty League. Moreover, both parties agreed to include Uprising’s Overwatch League slot.
Based in Europe, Oxygen Esports competes in eight different games. Their VALORANT team made their names known with a Turkish roster, which managed to compete internationally. they reached VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals but failed to make it to the Masters. Oxygen also owns a female VALORANT team.
On the other hand, Boston Uprising is an Overwatch League team, owned by Kraft Group. Kraft owns many enterprises such as Gillette Stadium, New England Patriots, and New England Revolution. The company joined esports back in 2017 with their Overwatch League team Boston Uprising.
Oxygen Esports and Boston Uprising will be the latest addition to next year’s Call of Duty League season. There were many rumors about Envy’s sale but in the end, it is official. According to the announcement, the team will represent Boston.

OXG will establish its headquarters and operations at Patriot Place in Foxborough, Massachusetts, at the Boston Uprising’s existing training site. Oxygen’s roster is not clear yet but the team will announce their roster in the upcoming days.
