Overwatch 2 Season 7 notes: Trials of Sanctuary
In an unprecedented move, Overwatch 2 is teaming up with Blizzard to bring you ‘Trials of Sanctuary’ as part of the Halloween Terror 2023 event.
This co-op survival brawl will pit you against the relentless forces of the Burning Hells.
You’ll have six unique heroes to choose from, including Demon Hunter Sombra, Barbarian Zarya, Night Raven Illari, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperious Reinhardt, and Inarius Pharah.
As you navigate through this challenging battle, formidable bosses like Azmodan Wrecking Ball, Butcher Roadhog, and Lilith Moira herself will test your mettle.
Halloween terror returns
The fan-favorite Halloween Terror event is back, promising a spookier experience than ever before.
Rediscover the thrills of Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride, with new challenges to conquer.
Your efforts will be rewarded with Battle Pass XP and Overwatch Credits, allowing you to unlock a range of goodies.
What’s even more exciting is the opportunity to spend your credits on Overwatch 2 heroes like Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ramattra, and Lifeweaver – but act fast, as this offer runs only until October 17.
Also, don’t miss the chance to grab limited-time Halloween skins, including the new Gilded Hunter Sombra Legendary Skin.
Battle on the Lava-infused Samoa
Season 7 introduces ‘Samoa,’ a visually stunning Control map where you’ll engage in thrilling battles on tropical beaches, within picturesque villages, and even inside an active volcano.
But beware of perilous pitfalls and molten lava!
Dive into the action with a dedicated Arcade card, and later, you’ll find Samoa in Quick Play and other unranked modes.
A sinister collection of loot
The Season 7 Battle Pass promises a dark and eerie journey with a wide array of cosmetics to unlock.
From new Epic skins like Victorian Ghost Lucio and Crimson Clown Soldier: 76 to spine-chilling Legendary skins like Azmondan Wrecking Ball, Victorian Doll Echo, and Diesel Barron Ramattra, there’s something for everyone.
For those who conquer all 80 tiers, the coveted Mythic Onryō Hanzo skin awaits.
The Ultimate Battle Pass bundle offers even more, including Legendary Lilith Moira and Inarius Pharah skins, an epic Pumpkin-Spice-themed skin for Bastion, 1,000 Overwatch Coins, and 20 Tier Skips.
Season 7 brings significant changes to Sombra’s abilities.
Opportunist is out, and a new passive Stealth ability automatically activates when Sombra isn’t taking or dealing damage.
Her Translocator has been reworked for instant teleportation, and a new skill called Virus deals damage over time and increased impact damage to hacked targets.
These adjustments aim to make Sombra a more engaging hero to play and face, while preserving her unique hacking identity.
