Darkness descends once again in Overwatch 2 as Season 19 ushers in The Haunted Masquerade, a celebration of Halloween chaos, hero transformations, and stylish spooks. From October 14 to November 3, players are invited to join the eerie festivities featuring mask-swapping mayhem, returning classics, Stadium upgrades, and Mythic-tier magic.
Enter the Haunted Masquerade
This year’s Halloween event flips the script on team composition with a fresh twist. Players can now wear masks inspired by allied heroes, temporarily inheriting their powers and buffs to unleash unexpected combos. Some masks even unlock unique lore-linked synergies, paying homage to iconic Overwatch pairings like Reinhardt and Brigitte.
The haunted fun doesn’t stop there, hidden treats are scattered across maps for those brave enough to explore every chilling corner. Step into the masquerade and uncover what secrets the shadows hold.
Classic Terrors Return
No Overwatch Halloween would be complete without the timeless scares of Junkenstein’s Revenge. Defend Adlersbrunn from waves of zombie Omnics and monstrous creations, or dive deeper into Wrath of the Bride, a cinematic co-op experience starring Sojourn, Kiriko, Ashe, and Junker Queen.
Battle Banshee Moira, Gargoyle Winston, and other terrifying bosses in a story-driven Halloween adventure that pushes players’ courage to the limit.
Stadium Gets a Spooky Upgrade
Season 19 introduces major quality-of-life improvements to the Overwatch 2 Stadium experience. Three new heroes; Torbjörn, Hazard, and Sojourn join the fight, alongside the atmospheric Busan Sanctuary Control map.
Players will find refined Armory tools, better item filters, new Combat Text options, and a fully integrated Advanced Info Panel to analyze stats and abilities mid-match. Every update sharpens the gameplay for both casual and competitive players alike.
Gadgets and Tricks
New Gadgets make their debut in Season 19, offering active items that turn matches upside down. From Colossus Core’s unstoppable charge to Kitsune Charm’s curse cleanse and Jet Skates’ ghostly escape, every Gadget provides a one-time burst of tactical advantage, available in multiple rarities for varied playstyles.
Battle Pass Treats
The Haunted Masquerade Battle Pass delivers a full lineup of festive rewards, including two Mythic-tier skins:
- Divine Druid Lifeweaver, channeling nature’s rebirth through radiant Biolight.
- Spirit Keeper Kiriko, with kunai ablaze in spectral foxfire.
Additional Legendary skins like Vampire Moira, Oni Cassidy, and Mermonster Wuyang headline the Halloween lineup, alongside dozens of emotes, cosmetics, and 80 Mythic Prisms to collect.
For the ultimate experience, the Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle grants instant tier skips, 2,000 Overwatch Coins, and exclusive skins like Vampire Kiriko and Preserver Ramattra.
