Overwatch 2 has announced its first IP collaboration for Season 3, and it’s with the beloved anime property for the One-Punch Man skin.
The collaboration will bring One-Punch Man skins to the game, with Doomfist leading the charge in his Saitama outfit. Furthermore, the outfit will be complete with the signature red and yellow costume the overpowered hero wears.
Overwatch 2 Cool Art Style Collabs
The One-Punch Man event in Overwatch 2 begins on March 7th. In a recent interview, Overwatch 2’s VP Jon Spector and art director Dion Rogers spoke about the crossover.
Basically, the Overwatch 2 team began considering these types of opportunities as they prepared for the launch of Overwatch 2. The first requirement for a potential collaboration was to determine if it would be considered cool by Overwatch players.
Beyond that, the team also looked for shows or properties with an art style that felt right for the game. In addition, the characters needed to be fun to bring to life in the Overwatch universe.
The One-Punch Man Skin in Overwatch 2
The One-Punch Man skin immediately jumped to the top of the list when Bandai Namco and the Overwatch 2 team evaluated the options. The Overwatch team was impressed with the fun world created by One-Punch Man, complete with its great and iconic characters.
Moreover, the Overwatch 2 team noticed that the game had a lot of fans of the show. Therefore, the team was very excited about the opportunity to introduce the One-Punch Man skin.

The characters would be imagined as fans of One-Punch Man cosplaying as the heroes. For example, Doomfist, known for his line “One punch is all I need,” was the perfect fit for Saitama.
The Overwatch 2 team wanted to make sure that the heroes were still present, even as they celebrated the look of Saitama in Overwatch.

Making the Overwatch 2 One-Punch Man Skin Clearly Recognizable
