The infamous Outlaw Midas, known for his golden touch and notorious flair, has made a dramatic return in Fortnite with v34.10. Alongside him, the Getaway Limited-Time Mode (LTM) makes a comeback, alongside a fresh batch of weapons in the Black Market, and the much-anticipated return of Siphon in Ranked. The update brings exciting new experiences to the Fortnite Battle Royale universe. Here’s a rundown of what to expect!
The Return of Getaway LTM
Get ready to team up in duos or squads, as the Getaway LTM makes its triumphant return from Chapter 1. From now until April 1 (Eastern Time), players will work together to retrieve one of four Crystal Llamas (Jewels) scattered across the island. The goal is to successfully extract the Jewel via one of the Island’s three Getaway Vans, with the first three teams to reach the vans securing victory. Alternatively, you can eliminate all other teams to claim the win in traditional Battle Royale fashion.
However, holding a Jewel has its downsides. You’ll move slower and become visible on the map to other players. But there’s a silver lining: carrying a Jewel will also restore your Health and Shield over time, adding an interesting layer of strategy. The Getaway LTM is live in both Build and Zero Build modes, allowing you to play unranked or, for the first time ever, in Ranked!
In Ranked Getaway, each team member will receive a substantial rank bonus for extracting a Jewel, and your rank progression from each match will be increased. However, progress in Ranked Getaway will not unlock styles for existing Ranked rewards, so you can still focus purely on the fun of the mode.
The Outlaw Faction Quest
New challenges arise as the infamous Fletcher Kane tightens his grip on vending machines and other resources around the island. In v34.10, players are tasked with helping drain Fletcher Kane of his resources by stealing Bars from his banks and various stashes around the island. Complete this community-wide quest, and you’ll earn a basic membership to the Outlaw faction, which unlocks access to the Outlaw Keycard.
Your Outlaw Keycard can be upgraded by completing Outlaw Keycard Quests. With each upgrade, you’ll gain access to new and powerful resources:
- Uncommon Outlaw Keycard: Gain access to Black Market backrooms, where Exotic items are available. Some backrooms even offer muscle for hire.
- Rare Outlaw Keycard: Unlock Outlaw Chests in Black Market backrooms, where you can earn free Bars.
- Epic Outlaw Keycard: Purchase premium loadouts from Black Market vendors, with a significant amount of Bars. Some of the loadouts include Skillet’s Loadout, Keisha’s Loadout, and Joss’ Loadout.
- Legendary Outlaw Keycard: These chests will also contain Legendary items and a Dill Bit, adding even more loot to your inventory.
In the Black Market backrooms, you’ll also find a range of new Exotic items for sale. For Dill Bits, you can purchase powerful weapons like the Lawless Slap Cannon for healing your teammates, the Lawless Blink Pump & Dump with Zero Point Dash, or the Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle, which fires shots in a unique triangle pattern. Keep an eye out for these weapons to spice up your gameplay!
Siphon Returns in Ranked
Another exciting return in v34.10 is the reintroduction of Siphon, which heals you partially when you eliminate an opponent. For the remainder of the LAWLESS event, Siphon will be active in Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. Every time you eliminate an opponent in these modes, you’ll receive 75 Health over five seconds. However, note that Siphon will not be available in Ranked OG, Reload, or Getaway modes.
Unlock the Outlaw Midas Skin
The moment fans have been waiting for has finally arrived: Outlaw Midas is here! Players who own the LAWLESS Battle Pass can unlock this exclusive outfit by earning 10 Account Levels. You can work toward this goal by earning XP from any experience, and as you level up, you’ll unlock additional accessories, such as the Outlaw’s Knife Rack Back Bling, Outlaw’s Whipknives Pickaxe, Bullet Rider Glider, Outlaw’s Mugshot Emote, and more.
Keep progressing through the levels to unlock Outlaw Midas’ Gunslinger, SHADOW, and GHOST styles, adding even more variety to your character customization. These unlocks are available until the end of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 6 Season 2: LAWLESS, so be sure to complete your goals before May 2, 2025, Eastern Time.
