CIS Valorant team One Breath Gaming has injected new life into its competitive season with three last-minute signings that earned them a spot in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.
One Breath Gaming head to the EMEA LCQ
Before recent developments regarding One Breath Gaming, we reported that CIS Valorant titan forZe was at risk of losing its EMEA LCQ slot. Two of its core members had been poached by One Breath Gaming, and a third was rumored to head to circuit point standing rivals FunPlux Phoenix.
As predicted, forZe did end up losing their LCQ slot because of losing its core roster. Surprisingly, it was One Breath Gaming that inherited the slot and not FPX. While Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin was rumored to head to FPX, OBG ended up signing forZe’s Nikita “Coffee” Antsypirovich to complete the three former forZe members OBG needed to inherit the final LCQ slot.
Savvy signings by One Breath Gaming
The news of OBG signing Coffee came a couple of days after acquiring former forZe players Denis “hugeon” Vasiliev and Nikolai “zeddy” Lapko. With three of forZe’s former players in their roster, OBG gets the vct points those players earned.
OBG re-signed Vladislav “minse” Kuzminykh and Stanislav “Sp1ke” Koshel, who were part of its Valorant roster before being released in August. With a full roster, OBG is set to compete with the seven other EMEA teams in the EMEA LCQ.
The current One Breath Gaming roster is as follows:
- Nikita “Coffee” Antsypirovich
- Denis “hugeon” Vasiliev
- Nikolai “zeddy” Lapko
- Vladislav “minse” Kuzminykh
- Stanislav “Sp1ke” Koshel
Seven EMEA teams and the Strike Arabia Champion representing MENA will be fighting for a single slot to Valorant Champions. The EMEA Last Chance Qualifier will be on October 10-17th.
