Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), the renowned Stockholm-based esports organization, has announced its entry into the highly competitive Fortnite scene. The esports org has signed Oscar “Refsgaard” Dalgas from Denmark as their first player for the game.
“I’ve been super excited about this NIP announcement. I remember watching them (NIP) play in CS:GO a long time ago, even before I played Fortnite. So it’s kinda crazy that I’m now a part of the team — can’t wait to see what the future holds!” said Oscar “Refsgaard” Dalgas Refsgaard, NIP Fortnite player.

Jonas Gundersen, COO of NIP, Discusses Natural Next Step for NIP
“No doubt that Fortnite is a wildly popular game overall, and it’s been on our radar for a long time. Cautious about adding too many titles, we want to sustain all of them properly with the needed infrastructure. Rocket League, a big step for us, is a foothold into a generally younger demographic and future NIP fans,” said Jonas Gundersen, COO of NIP.
Gundersen added, “Now we are adding Fortnite to that mix. Utilizing those synergies coming from EPIC as a publisher in both games and tying in Fortnite Creative is a natural next step. Refsgaard is an incredibly talented player who we believe can be one of the biggest stars – a fantastic fit for us.”
