Newly announced FIFA team TG.NIP has been formed by Ninjas in Pyjamas in partnership with Academy Team Gullit.
Ninjas in Pyjamas, one of the world’s largest and most traditional e-sports organizations, has expanded its footprint into competitive FIFA. They have joined forces with Team Gullit, an academy team based in the Netherlands. Together they have established TG.NIP to compete in the FIFA Global Series.
We have been working together for almost two years now, ever since Ollelito made the transfer from Team Gullit to NIP.

FUT Champions winner Olle “Ollelito” Arbin will now be joined by two-time European Champion Levi de Weerd. TG.NIP has joined the FGS Masters program and will compete in the upcoming 2022 Team of the Season Cup.

Jonas Gundersen, COO at NIP commented; “We go way back with Team Gullit, having first gotten in touch with them when we were signing Olle. Now that FIFA esports is professionalizing, I’m stoked to be deepening our cooperation in response and joining the FGS together, and I expect this relationship to get even closer over time. It’s a natural strategic move for us, with NIP alongside our subsidiary Shinobi working towards a very broad FIFA presence.”
At the beginning of 2018, Ruud Gullit launched the first professional and independent FIFA academy in the World. Gullit had been a Dutch footballer who played professionally in the 1980s and 1990s. His accomplishments include being the captain of the Netherlands national tea, stints at top-tier European clubs, and winner of the 1987 Ballon d’Or award.

Corné Dubelaar, Team Gullit Co-Founder added; “We are really excited to partner with NIP. We have been working together for almost two years now, ever since Ollelito made the transfer from Team Gullit to NIP. When EA announced the FGS Masters program, it was time to take the co-operation to the next level. The creation of TG.NIP allows us to fully focus on developing talent in the Team Gullit academy while having TG.NIP as one of the top-tier teams fighting for trophies in major tournaments. By pairing Levi and Olle, we have one of the best rosters in the competitive FIFA scene.”
