The Call of Duty League team, New York Subliners, have parted ways with Makenzie “Mack” Kelley before the start of the new season.
New York Subliners decided to drop some of their players after the 2021 Call of Duty League season. Obaid “Asim” Asim was the first one to leave the team, and today, Subliners announced the departure of Mack. The New York representatives are looking to rebuild their roster for the upcoming season.
New York Subliners, began their 2021 run with the captain James “Clayster” Eubanks, Conor “Diamondcon” Johst, Mack, and Asim. Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez was going to be on the starting roster but he could not join his team due to visa issues. Diamondcon replaced him as a young prospect to help Clayster win the trophy.
The team made a great start to the season but failed to continue their consistency in Major 2. However, HyDra joined the starting roster after his visa issues were solved, New York Subliners almost won the trophy in Major 3. After an unsuccessful season considering their roster quality, Subliners needed to make a change. They could not go beyond the second round in Call of Duty League Championship 2021.
Asim’s departure showed us that the team were going to make more changes. Mack has also parted ways with the organization. Asim found himself a team a couple of days ago, and it is expected that Mack would also join a Call of Duty League team in the upcoming days.
They do not want to let Clayster go but acquire the best players around him. Mack’s departure have given them another spot to fill with a superstar. However, it is still unclear whether they will form a superteam or not. New York Subliners will announce their roster in the upcoming days or weeks.
