Indie studios Coin Drop Games and Glootschke Games have released a new demo for their upcoming meta puzzle RPG, The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time. The full game is set to launch on Steam in early 2026, but players can start unraveling its secrets right now.
Blending deduction puzzles, JRPG mechanics, and a self-aware narrative, the game invites players to uncover the truth behind a mysterious “remake” of a legendary RPG that never actually existed.
A JRPG That Knows It’s Not Real
In The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time or TRotEotGRPGoAT for short, players begin at level 99, thrown into the final hour of an epic tale they’ve never experienced. Every event, every sacrifice, and every character feels loaded with unseen history.
But the mystery runs deeper. Why can you only play the ending? Why have you never heard of the original? And why is it being remade at all?
The demo offers a taste of its nonlinear storytelling, offbeat humor, and meta-deduction puzzles that challenge players to piece together the truth from in-game clues and “behind-the-scenes” artifacts like digital manuals and archival footage.
