The Group Stage of MSI 2022 is behind now as six teams have made it to the Rumble Stage for better competition between themselves.
This year, there were many different regionally dominant teams all around the globe and they had a chance to show their capabilities on the international stage. The first stage of MSI 2022 was the Group Stage. Royal Never Give Up, T1, and G2 Esports completed the phase without giving any casualties. Evil Geniuses, PSG Talon and Saigon Buffalo were the second-seeded teams in the phase to advance in the tournament. On the other hand, fastPay Wildcats (İstanbul Wildcats), RED Canids, ORDER, Detonation FocusMe, and Team Aze have been eliminated and went back to their home countries.
Group A

Even before the first match, it was obvious that T1 were going to dominate the group and demolish every opponent. They won all their 18 games during the regular season and lifted the trophy without dropping a series in the playoffs. As expected, T1’s supremacy continued as they closed out the group stage undefeated. SEcondly, Saigon Buffalo are the second team to reach the Rumble Stage with four wins and two losses.

Royal Never Give Up were also another team that everyone expected domination during the group stage. The Chinese team won every game and completed the stage undefeated just like T1. PSG Talon have also clinched a spot by winning three games against RED Canids and İstanbul Wildcats.
Group C
The only group with three participants. G2 Esports destroyed ORDER and Evil Geniuses in every game to finish the MSI 2022 Group Stage undefeated alongside RNG and T1. Other than G2, EG have also reached the upper stage by winning four games against ORDER.
The Rumble Stage will start on May 20 and the competition will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube.
