Get over here! The Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test is approaching!
Arriving on June 23rd, players will have a chance to try out Neather Realm’s latest title.
Here are the details and a guide on how to sign up for the bloodbath…
Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test How to Sign Up
For those wanting an early chance to pull off some fatalities, sign up here.

Accordingly to the Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test FAQ website, combatants will be randomly selected on June 21st.
Giving players a several-month head start before Mortal Kombat 1‘s early beta access for pre-order purchasers starts in August
Simply visit https://go.wbgames.com/OnlineStressTestMK1 and sign up with your Warner Bros. Games Account for a chance to participate.
Those who are randomly selected will have three days from June 23rd to June 26th to practice their combos, commencing at 8 a.m. PT, 11 a.m. ET, or 4 p.m. BST.
Show your house pride with the Slytherin Chair Skin from the Harry Potter x Secretlab Licensed Collection!
Also, Warner Bros Games state that the Stress Test is not a Beta. The purpose is to deliberately stress the online infrastructure and identify potential issues ahead of the game’s launch.
Additionally, The test is also unrelated to the Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order Beta that has been announced for August 2023.
Though both single-player and multiplayer modes will be included in this stress test. This includes 1v1 matches online as well as a “limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against A.I. opponents.”
Who can Play the Stress Test
Accordingly, players will not need an online subscription to either the Xbox or PlayStation service to play the title online.
It will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, it is not accessible to Nintendo Switch players or PC gamers.

And no, the stress test will not support cross-play, unfortunately as well.
Judging from the build shown at the Summer Games Fest 2023 last week, players could have access to Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kenshi, Liu Kang, and Kitana, with Jax, Sonya, and Kano available as Kameo fighters across the two stages shown.
There is a possibility for some unrevealed characters to show up, of course, but we won’t know until release.
It is very unlikely we will see any potential DLC characters make an appearance.
Whether or not the pre-order bonus Shang-Tsung will be available has not yet been confirmed.
While digital codes will be redeemable prior to the start of the test, players will not be able to download the test version of the game until the following times:
- PlayStation Store – Friday, June 23 at 11 a.m. EDT / 10:00 a.m. CDT / 8 a.m. PDT
- Microsoft Store – Friday, June 23 at 11 a.m. EDT / 10:00 a.m. CDT / 8 a.m. PDT
