According to the latest announcement by Misfits Gaming, Nikolay “Zanzarah” Akatov has been promoted to the main roster to replace Lucjan “Shlatan” Ahmad.

After finishing the LEC 2022 Spring Regular season in third place, Misfits Gaming’s Summer performance is being questioned by the fans. The team picked up 5 wins and 6 losses so far and they are sitting at the sixth spot. To stop the downfall, the coaching staff decided to make a roster change. According to the announcement by Misfits Gaming, Zanzarah will replace Shlatan in the upcoming week of the LEC.

Misfits Gaming LEC 2022 Summer Roster

Zanzarah’s professional career began in 2014. Back in the day, he played for the CIS teams and did not have any LEC experience. Firstly, he played for Team Just and moved to Carpe Diem. He then joined Vega Squadron where he spent almost 2 years of his career and also played for RoX before joining the European scene. The Russian jungler player for KIYF eSports Club, Origen, and AGO Rogue, before signing with the LEC team, Astralis. Zanzarah then joined the Misfits Gaming organization but competed in the academy team.

Shlatan was a member of the team in the LEC 2022 Spring Split. However, the coaching staff decided to make the change in order to participate in the playoffs. Zanzarah will make his Misfits Gaming debut against Rogue on the 29th. Rogue’s recent performances showed that they are one of the best teams in the league so it will be a tough start for the Russian jungler.
