As part of the relationship, SPORTFIVE will work across Misfits’ expansive esports and gaming portfolio across the US and Europe, focusing on revenue generation, business development, sponsorship integration, and partnership development. SPORTFIVE will support the commercial development of Misfits’ esports teams across the League of Legends European Championship and Rocket League, along with the Florida based franchises in the Call of Duty and Overwatch League.

Additionally, SPORTFIVE will be tasked with finding brand partners for Misfits recently announced Minecraft initiatives featuring two massive Minecraft creators Ranboo and Tubbo, who boast over 35 million total followers on social media.
“Misfits is a very impressive organization with strong cross-border reach, making this an exciting partnership for us,” said Ryan Polun, Head of Esports and Gaming, Americas at SPORTFIVE. “We see a tremendous amount of commercial potential for them as a property and feel that their investment in Minecraft makes for an even more intriguing value proposition globally.”
“We are thrilled to partner with SPORTFIVE to elevate our commercial outreach across all properties at Misfits Gaming Group,” said Lagen Nash, Chief Revenue Officer at Misfits Gaming Group. “SPORTFIVE is a powerhouse in the sports and gaming industries, and they will help us to identify the best partnerships for us as we continue to grow as an organization through our existing League of Legends, Call of Duty, Overwatch, and Rocket League teams as well as our Minecraft creators and new additions throughout the year.”
SPORTFIVE holds a significant position across the global esports and gaming industry – in which the agency was responsible in 2021 for over $50 million in partnership revenue. The agency launched a dedicated global esports unit in August 2020 and recently launched an expansion of its esports capabilities in the US.
The agency’s global esports business is supported by its vast global network of local market experts across brand and rightsholder management, partnership sales and activation.
