miHoYo has revealed two new characters that will be coming to Genshin Impact soon. Yun Jin and Shenhe were leaked before, but not much was known about their release date. However, miHoYo has confirmed that the two new characters will release in patch 2.4.
Everything we know about Shenhe
Shenhe is the descendant of an exorcist clan’s branch family. She is the apprentice of Cloud Retainer, although not much is known about the relationship there.
Shenhe is expected to be a 5-star character and the featured unit of the patch 2.4 banner release. She wields a Polearm weapon, and although not confirmed, is a Cryo element user.
Everything we know about Yun Jin
Yun Jin is the current Director of Yun-Han Opera Troupe. Unlike Shenhe, Yun Jin is confirmed to be a Geo element user. She also wields a Polearm, which is not unusual since most of the recent characters have been Polearm users. Since Shenhe is a 5-star character, Yun Jin wil likely be a 4-star unit.
As mentioned before, both of these characters will arrive with patch 2.4. However, we are yet to get patch 2.3, which will be released on November 24, 2021. Eula and the Albedo banner will appear in the first part of the patch, followed by the recently revealed Arataki Itto and Gorou banner. While Arataki Itto is a 5-star character, Gorou is a 4-star unit. Itto will wield a Claymore weapon, whereas Gorou will use a Bow. That said, both of these characters are Geo users, as revealed before.
The servers will go down on 24 November at 06:00 am (UTC +8). The maintenance break is expected to last 5 hours, and players won’t be able to play the game during the same period. Once the maintenance ends, players will get 300 Primogems as part of the compensation. Furthermore, players will get an extra 60 Primogems for each additional hour in the downtime.
