Gorr joins the Marvel Rivals roster as a new Duelist alongside a new map, events, costumes, and more.
NetEase Games has officially revealed Gorr the God Butcher as the newest hero coming to Marvel Rivals with Season 10: Butcher’s Blasphemy.
The terrifying Duelist will wield the All-Black, the Necrosword, giving players a brutal new damage-focused option when Season 10 launches on September 11, 2026.
Gorr Brings the Necrosword to Marvel Rivals
Gorr joins Marvel Rivals as a Duelist, with his kit centered around aggressive combat, mobility, and summoning creatures to overwhelm his opponents.
His signature weapon, the Necrosword, can take on different forms depending on the situation, giving Gorr several ways to attack enemies during a match.
One of his most notable mechanics comes from his ability to execute defeated enemies and absorb their flesh, transforming them into Black Berserkers. These creatures can then fight alongside Gorr, allowing him to gradually build an army during extended battles.
The mechanic could make Gorr especially dangerous in prolonged engagements. Every successful elimination has the potential to add another Black Berserker to the battlefield, allowing him to pressure opponents from multiple directions.
Gorr also has strong mobility through his symbiote abilities. Symbiote Assimilation allows him to move across the battlefield and attack from unexpected angles, giving him additional options for chasing enemies, escaping danger, or repositioning during fights.
Gorr’s Ultimate Unleashes the Annihilablade
Gorr’s Ultimate Ability takes his army-based gameplay to another level.
The ability transforms the All-Black into the Annihilablade, allowing Gorr to command every active Black Berserker to join him in a devastating assault.
The combination of Gorr’s damage output, mobility, and summoned creatures could make his Ultimate particularly threatening when used after he has already built up his army.
Marvel Rivals Season 10 Adds New Map and Events
Gorr isn’t the only major addition arriving with Marvel Rivals Season 10.
The season will introduce God Quarry, a new Domination map connected directly to Gorr’s storyline. The Faith-Harvesting Engine has been brought to the quarry as Gorr continues his mission to eradicate every deity across the Chronoverse.
Season 10 will also introduce new content throughout its run, including Pajama Party costumes at launch.
The September 18 update will add the Jeff’s Dream Eater and Jeff’s Superstar Seeking events, while the September 24 update will bring the God Quarry map and the return of Galacta’s Gift.
Scarlet Witch is also receiving a significant rework, with changes affecting her abilities, passive, and Ultimate.
Marvel Rivals Season 10 Continues the Path to Doomsday
The second half of Season 10 will continue the Path to Doomsday storyline with Phase 3: Avengers Infinity War and Phase 4: Avengers Endgame.
Two new game modes are also planned as part of Season 10.5, giving players additional ways to experience the season’s content.
Season 10 will be unusual for Marvel Rivals because it will feature just one new hero. However, the development team has confirmed that Season 11 will return to the previous schedule of introducing two heroes.
For now, the spotlight belongs to Gorr. With the Necrosword in hand and an army of Black Berserkers at his command, the God Butcher is ready to bring his war against the gods to Marvel Rivals.
