The well-known Taiwanese mid laner, Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang has decided to leave China and join TSM to compete in the North American League of Legends stage.
TSM had one of the worst splits of their franchise history, winning only five games and losing thirteen in the entire split. The organization’s biggest aim is to return back to their winning culture, as stated by the VP of Esports, Dominic Kallas. To start their rebuild, TSM have signed the experienced mid laner, Maple to have impact during the summer split of this year’s LCS.
LCS 2022 Summer Split TSM Roster
Maple’s career began back in 2013 with the Gamania Bears jersey but he made his name known during his time with Flash Wolves. Flash Wolves used to be one of the most dominant Asian teams other than Koreans and Maple was one of the leaders of the success. He played with Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan, Lu “Betty” Yu-Hung, and Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh, who was previously a TSM player.
After leaving Flash Wolves, Maple joined Suning but he didn’t have a good timem with the organization and signed a contract with LNG Esports. Again, he couldn’t even reach the playoffs and joined PSG Talon to make his return to PCS. He won both splits, reached the MSI Semifinals and competed at Worlds 2021. Lastly, he moved back to China to play for Anyone’s Legend.

TSM’s roster looks solid on paper but we have to wait and see how they perform on the battlefield. At the beginning of this year, they signed Shenyi and Zhu “Keaiduo” Xiong but the duo never quite worked out. Maple is a world-class player and his impact will be huge for the team for sure.
