The resident ADC player from New Zealand, Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui has left Golden Guardians and he is now looking for a new team.
Golden Guardians formed a roster that looked “modest” compared to other teams in the league. The chemistry worked well throughout the season and the players played their hearts out to reach the playoffs. Golden Guardians accomplished something huge by making it to the playoffs but they decided to let their ADC go at the end of the split. One of the most essential pieces of the roster, Lost has left the team to join another organization in the upcoming split.
Lost’s professional career started way back, roughly in 2013. During the earlier times of his career, he used to compete in the Oceanian League of Legends tournament, OPL. He competed under Team VGR, Chiefs Black, Tainted Minds, and Legacy Esports uniforms before the disbandment of OPL. He then joined Echo Fox Academy and made it to the main team to compete in LCS. Oceanian players are considered to be residents in North America and he started playing for the main TSM roster. Lastly, Lost competed under the Golden Guardians uniform for more than 5 months.
Golden Guardians’ Current Roster
- Eric “Licorice” Ritchie
- Milo “Pridestalker” Wehnes
- Nicholas “Ablazeolive” Antonio Abbott
- Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung
Golden Guardians saw nine wins and nine losses with Lost on the rift. They made it to the playoffs stage but got eliminated in the first round, getting swept by Cloud9. GGS’ playoff run started from the losers’ bracket as they failed to win the tiebreakers in the regular season.
Lost’s new destination is not clear yet but on the other hand, Golden Guardians also have to find themselves a new ADC for the upcoming split. It looks like there will be many changes for a chance to compete internationally next split.
