Los Angeles Guerrillas had a terrible performance in the 2021 CDL season and decided to rebuild their roster for the upcoming season.
This year, CDL fans witnessed many disappointing performances from their teams, and Los Angeles Guerrillas had one of the biggest busts. The roster’s performance pushed the organization to think about a big switch for the upcoming season. As a result, the Los Angeles representatives dropped their entire roster ahead of the 2022 CDL season.
At the beginning of the season, Guerrillas had a decent roster on paper. Reece “Vivid” Drost, Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov, Adam “Assault” Garcia and Justin “SiLLY” Fargo-Palmer looked like a team that could qualify for the Championship Stage and prove their worth. However, things did not go as planned and the organization made a couple of roster changes during the regular season.
On top of these talented players, the team had decent substitutes to fill their shoes but just like major changes, substitute players also did not have the expected impact. This year, Los Angeles Guerrillas’ only decent result was at the first Major, where the team secured a $20k prize. Vivid was the main part of the roster and with his leadership, Guerillas made it to the 5-6th position in the first Major.
In the end, Los Angeles Guerrillas claimed the 11th spot in the league out of 12 teams. They could only surpass Paris Legion, which had the worst record in the regular season. It was expected for the team to make changes but dropping the whole roster may be a little pretentious for some.
As the 2021 Call of Duty League season came to an end, almost all the teams started building their rosters from scratch. There are many decent options the Los Angeles Guerrillas could go for. It is still unclear whether the team will form a team that could win the trophy for them.
