Feral Interactive brings the classic tomb-raiding adventure to mobile with customizable controls, co-op and a free first level
Fans of Lara Croft will soon have another tomb-raiding adventure to take on the go. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is coming to iOS and Android on September 8, 2026, with Feral Interactive bringing Crystal Dynamics’ isometric action-adventure game to mobile devices.
The mobile release combines fast-paced combat, platforming and puzzle-solving as Lara explores dangerous Egyptian tombs and battles an ancient threat.
Lara Croft takes on Set
In Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, players must reunite the Fragments of Osiris to prevent Set, the God of Chaos, from enslaving humanity.
The adventure takes Lara through Egyptian tombs filled with traps, puzzles and hordes of undead enemies. Players will need to swing, grapple, shoot and solve environmental puzzles as they make their way through the ancient ruins.
The game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to three other players, allowing groups of up to four players to tackle the adventure together.
Importantly, the mobile version supports both online and local wireless co-op, giving players multiple ways to experience the game with friends.
Built for gaming on the go
Feral Interactive has also introduced refinements specifically designed for mobile gameplay.
Players can use fully customizable touch controls for the game’s twin-stick shooting, allowing them to adjust the controls to their preferred playstyle. The mobile version also supports a range of gamepads, providing an alternative for players who prefer physical controls.
This makes the mobile release more accessible for both touchscreen players and those looking for a traditional controller experience.
Try the first level for free
One of the biggest features of the mobile release is its Try Before You Buy model.
Rather than requiring players to purchase the game immediately, the first level will be available as a free demo. Players can experience the opening of the adventure before deciding whether to unlock the complete game.
The full game can then be unlocked through a single in-app purchase for $9.99 / €8.99 / £7.49.
Following Guardian of Light on mobile
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris follows Feral Interactive’s mobile release of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light in 2025.
The two games share a similar isometric approach, combining exploration, platforming, combat and puzzles rather than following the traditional third-person format associated with the mainline Tomb Raider games.
With Temple of Osiris, mobile players will now have another Lara Croft adventure designed specifically to work on modern smartphones and tablets.
When does Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris release on mobile?
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will launch for iOS and Android on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Pre-orders and pre-registrations are available through the respective mobile storefronts, allowing players to receive a notification when the game becomes available.
With its combination of customizable touch controls, gamepad support, solo gameplay and multiplayer options, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris could be a strong addition to the growing selection of premium games available on mobile.
