Xbox Wire has exclusively revealed that Overwatch 2 is collaborating with One-Punch Man to release the legendary Terrible Tornado – Kiriko skin as part of a bundle.
The bundle will include the Terribly Impressive Victory Pose, and the Terrible Tornado namecard. Furthermore, it will be available for 2,100 coins in the Overwatch 2 in-game store.
This collaboration between Overwatch 2 and One-Punch Man marks the first major in-game collaboration for Overwatch since the LEGO-inspired Bastion skin in 2019.
One-Punch Man x Overwatch 2 Collaboration for Kiriko
The Overwatch team has been wanting to collaborate with an anime studio for a while. Therefore, when One-Punch Man came up, they were thrilled.
The team was surprised at how many people knew and loved the anime. Interestingly, this included game director Aaron Keller, who knew all the characters and their stories backward and forwards.
The collaboration was highly popular with many team members. Evidently, during the first team meeting, the character artist for the Saitama – Doomfist skin began drawing designs during the call. He shared the Kiriko designs soon after the meeting.
The Overwatch team loves One Punch Man so much that Doomfist had a voice line referencing the show for years before this collaboration came together.
The Making of the Terrible Tornado – Kiriko One-Punch Man Skin

The Terrible Tornado – Kiriko skin will be available from March 7 until April 6 as part of the One Punch Man collaboration.
Terrible Tornado is an incredibly powerful psychic in the world of One-Punch Man. Moreover, Terrible Tornado comes with a distinct personality all of her own.
Kiriko was the right fit to put on Terrible Tornado’s costume because she fits the silhouette pretty well. Additionally, Kiriko is a newer hero in the game and needed more skins.
The Overwatch team was careful when applying the silhouette change to the skin, ensuring that it doesn’t affect the gameplay.

Overwatch 2 Heroes Are Fans of Anime
According to Art Director Dion Rogers, Overwatch’s approach to the collaboration is that the heroes are aware of the anime and are fans too.
Essentially, they’re cosplaying as the heroes. They are not meant to be a version of the One-Punch Man characters.
When players see Doomfist wearing the Saitama outfit, he’s a fan too.
Rogers says that the team definitely wants to do more collaborations over time, but with the right opportunity. The seasonal cadence of Overwatch 2 will allow the team to pursue more collaborations like this.
When asked about his dream collaboration, Rogers revealed that he would love to see a collaboration with Dragon Ball or Street Fighter.
Future Skin Collabs in Overwatch 2

The collaboration between Overwatch 2 and One-Punch Man is an exciting development for fans of both franchises. With the Terrible Tornado – Kiriko skin, players will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds.
The collaboration is expected to generate a lot of buzz and anticipation for future collaborations in Overwatch 2.
The seasonal cadence of the game is a great opportunity for the team to pursue more collaborations in the future. Overwatch players who are fans of anime can’t wait to see what’s in store.
