Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Reveal Trailer
Warhorse Studios is back and out of nowhere with a Kingdom Come: Deliverance sequel! The highly-received medieval RPG from 2016 is making a return.
Also, the game is set to release on PS5, Xbox, and PC. Nintendo Switch release TBA, but lets be real, it’s probably not happening!

Their new gameplay reveal trailer shows off the new look and story of the game. We play as Henry yet again and appear to be setting off right from Kingdom Come 1.

For those who did not play the first, you play as a peasant boy, Henry. He is the son of a local blacksmith who seeks revenge on the man who killed his parents.
It was a simple yet well-told story that excelled at voice acting and immersion. The studio put a lot of detail into making the game feel like a realistic medieval RPG.
And part of that relationship was getting shafted in every early to mid-game fight. The game was notoriously difficult due to its unique combat mechanics and heavy RPG system.
Although you could grind to a high level, a mere peasant could kill you if unprepared. Also, it was not the best gameplay around, but it was unique.
However, it only became manageable once you unlocked a certain counter-hit ability. Also, bows and arrows were OP once properly trained.
Although it was not a grand-scale war simulator as expected, it served as an immersive RPG. It gave players multiple ways of solving problems and interacting with NPCs, with vastly different outcomes.
The developers promise to hone the aspects of the first even more in the sequence.
Much Bigger Scope
In the original, the developers were forthcoming in admitting that they did not have the resources to pull off their grand vision. This includes big-scale battles and castle raids. But within the trailer, the developers say that now, with the success of the first behind them, they can achieve this.

Also, although Henry was established in the first game, players can still shape him as they want. Yes, he is a knight, but one in training, so players can decide what type they want to be.
In essence, this is still them saying you can role-play the character a little bit. So expect a similar way from the beginning, where you can taylor Henry into a Sneak, Tank, etc. archetype.

The same actors seem to be making a reappearance, which is also nice.
Also the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Reveal included new types of weapons added to the fold. Now we have crossbows and early-age guns to mess around with.
Another emphasis has been put on how the townspeople and villages will react to Henry. They say that people will give more direct responses to Henry and approach him differently depending on their influence.
And we have two large areas to explore this time around, with one major city and one woodland area.
More grand music, more grand battles, and more Henry mucking about. Yet another game to be excited for this year. Oh yeah, we are so back!
Looking forward to its release by the end of this year.
