The Khaby Lame Fortnite skin sees the viral TikTok star added to the popular video game in an unexpected cross-promotion.
As part of the Icon Series line, Khaby Lame’s outfit and assorted cosmetics were part of the rewards for the Chapter 4: Season 4 battle pass.
Khaby Lame Fortnite: What’s it about?
The Chapter 4: Season 4 season began on August 25th 2023 and ended on November 3rd 2023.
Also known as Season 26, this season included the Viral Sensation set in its Battle Pass. Khaby Lame was the central theme for this set.
The Viral Sensation set included an outfit, weapon skins, emotes, sprays, loading screens and other cosmetics. All of these are based on Khaby Lame.
The only way to obtain the Khaby Lame outfit was to purchase all the cosmetics on Page 11 of the battle pass. This would then unlock Khaby Lame, who would cost 9 Battle Stars.
The outfit had four different styles: the classic Khaby Lame, Traditional Khaby, Outlined Gradient, and Gradient Only.
His color scheme is similar to the flag of Senegal, his birth country.
As it was a battle pass reward that was part of a limited promotion, the Khaby Lame outfit is not available if you couldn’t grab it during that season.
Who is the TikTok guy in Fortnite?
With over 160 million followers on TikTok, Khaby Lame is a social media star.
He is most known for his primarily wordless videos on the popular app. His most popular video format is to mock complicated “life hack” videos.
Khaby Lame would juxtapose the “life hacks” with a video of himself doing the same task in a simple way, and then making his signature open palms hand gesture.
The simplicity of the format earned him fame. In 2023, he is the most followed person on TikTok.
In addition to the Fortnite collaboration, Khaby Lame has a partnership with Hugo Boss and was a juror at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, judging Tik Tok short films.
The Senegal-born Italian was a video game fan and enjoyed the opportunity to see himself in Fortnite.
