Karmine Corp have proved to the world that they are the best ERL team by winning EU Masters back-to-back.
The French team, Karmine Corp, and Fnatic Rising competed against each other in the EU Masters Grand Final. Karmine Corp started the series by winning the first two games but failed to sweep their opponent. Fnatic Rising came back to the series after losing two games in a row and forced a game-five. As a result, Karmine Corp won the fifth game in style and proved that they are the best ERL team.
Game 1
The first game of the series was a complete bloodbath. Karmine Corp concentrated on the top side of Fnatic. However, the British representatives used their Twisted Fate to defend their top side. Matthew Charles “xMatty” Coombs had a better game than his opponent in the bottom lane, Louis “Bean” Schmitz. xMatty’s Ezreal performance against his former team decided the late-game winner. Karmine Corp stepped up during the fights with Ryze and Ezreal in their hands and closed out the first game.
Game 2
Karmine Corp picked the same champions as they thought their game plan worked in the first game. Both teams were cautious during the early game and avoided any skirmishes. Karmine Corp had a better mid-game as they secured four kills and gave only two. Cinkrof had a monstrous performance with Jarvan in his hands. Mahdi “Pride” Nasserzadeh tried to carry his team with his Gnar pick; however, his champion was insufficient in terms of damage dealing. Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet’s Renekton got many sources and tanked the team fights without dying. Fnatic Rising aimed for the fourth dragon but KC found the fight they were looking for to win the game in 31 minutes.
Game 3
Cinkrof made a fairly early visit to the bottom lane and xMatty secured two kills in the sixth minute. With this move, Bean’s early lead disappeared as Karmine Corp’s Ezreal pick got stronger but Bean played his heart out to get the lead once again. Fnatic Rising increased their lead with successful skirmishes and map moves. KC had many questionable plays mainly because of miscommunication. Fnatic benefited from it and Maxi’s Viego made the difference in the game. The game was one-sided after mid-game fights for the side of Fnatic Rising, thanks to Bean and Maxi. The British team closed out the third game in 27 minutes and prevented a possible sweep in the EU Masters Finals.
Game 4
The fourth game was a do-or-die game for the side of Fnatic Rising. Both teams made moves in the early game and the gold was equal. Fnatic Rising’s Bean had a massive lead in the bottom side with Aphelios in his hand. The German marksman carried his team in the mid-game to get the lead in their hands. Maxi joined his teammate and played the team fights almost perfectly. With the gold lead in their pockets, Fnatic Rising won the fourth game in 29 minutes.
Game 5
Surprisingly, Karmine Corp let Bean play Aphelios one more time. The German marksman carried his team with the champion but the French side had better plans. Cinkrof’s textbook movements got KC ahead in the early stages. The French representatives kept their consistency and won every skirmish all around the map. After a one-sided late game, Karmine Corp closed out the series and lifted the EU Masters trophy.
Karmine Corp have proved that they are the best team in Europe except for the LEC participants.
