This is mostly because of the fact that most team compositions require a reliable source of continuous physical damage dealer.
Since bot lane is a duo lane and players have to share exp and funnel the gold, marksmen are usually combined with support champions who don’t need many items to be effective in the game.
However, in this Ivern Rengar Botalane guide, we will focus on a different type of bot lane that you can utilize with your friends in solo queue.
Ivern Rengar bot lane: What is so special?
Other power bot lane duos are different from the traditional marksman-support lane. For example, Brand/Pyke and Taliyah/Pantheon are also good options for creating a kill lane. However, their success highly depends on their kills in the laning phase.
On the other hand, Ivern Rengar Bot lane has incredible synergy, making them strong in every game phase. The obvious trick is to use Ivern’s W to give Rengar a free jump ability, but this duo is far better than just doing that.
They have incredible roaming potential, and the peeling ability Ivern brings to the table can make Rengar immortal in the team fights. Also, after the lane is pushed and there is nothing to do in the lane, Ivern has the ability to farm jungle camps while Rengar is making roams happen.
Laning tips for Ivern Rengar Botlane
It might seem easy, but playing Ivern and Rengar in bot lane is quite difficult. If you want to succeed and tilt your enemies, follow our tips!
This duo has an incredible trading ability with Rengar’s high base damage and Ivern’s early shields. You can start trading with the enemies from level one.
Do not level up your W as in level 1 as Ivern. Instead, level up your E to give Rengar a better trade as he jumps forward.
Many traditional bot lane duos are weak against this combo in the game’s first minutes. So try to make trades happen early and have an advantage in the lane.
Use double bush
Just randomly putting bushes around for Rengar is not enough for you to win the lane. Playing this duo requires a good amount of skill and knowledge.
When Rengar is in the bush, put your Ivern bush on top of the enemy caster minions. This way, Rengar can jump from the lane bush to the caster minions and, from there, can jump on top of the enemies.
After that, you can put another bush on top of enemies to help Rengar jump back to the caster minions after dealing the required damage to win the trade.
Freeze the wave
With this combo, if you can freeze the waves close to your tower, you can deny lots of CS from the enemy bot lane.
Since walking up to a long lane will be certain death for most of the marksman/support duos, they won’t be able to come close and take CS. However, in lower MMR levels, players always make the mistake of walking up to CS when they can’t.
When they walk up to your frozen lane, do not hesitate the punish them immediately. With these champions, you can chase them through the lane and get very easy kills utilizing Rengar’s E slow and Ivern’s E slow.
The Ivern Rengar bot lane will drive your enemies crazy if you follow the tips above. Moreover, you will have much fun with your duo in bot lane!
