The eternal goddess is here so it’s time for an Ingrid Guide and secret!
Capcom’s latest and cutest addition to the roster may be the strongest yet.
But what is Ingrid, how does she play and what’s the strategy?
Ingrid Guide
Firstly, before reading this Ingrid Guide make sure, you like playing as a Zoner. If Guile was not your speed, then maybe give our girl a chance as she has much more offensive capabilities.
This comes from her many projectiles on screen mainly her QCF inputs. This magic missile can hit overhead if inputted HP. Meanwhile she can use jumping missiles while airborne with QCB MP or HP.

But to make use of Ingrid fully is to use her up her Suncrest moves. The lady will build up stocks on hit and manually through taunts. Because depending on how full her crests are she gains a major damage and range boost. At max her missile turns into a full laser beam hitting fast and hard.

So, the first part of her game-plan is building up stocks via sun shot. However, relying on this makes you predictable so you want to throw the enemy off their game. By charging sun shot you can delay the sendoff slightly. From this we can go for cheap hits or bait out parry grabs.
Unlike Ryu her fireballs can be shot out while others are on screen. Overwhelming the enemy with charges sun shots and normals is a good way to maintain the pressure.

Although any Ingrid Guide would rely more heavily on Sun flare. This close up laser without stocks is a great way to stop walk ups and cancel fireballs. However, with at least 2 stocks this launches into a ton of combos.
Upon long range hits it’s good to follow up with the TP kicks after confirmed knock-ups.
Dark Ingrid
Although this is practically useless for an Ingrid Guide you can buff her via a transformation. Much like Akuma’s demon mode she has the same thing via a long-winded taunt window. By back taunting you summon the little Monoid creature. Leave the stick in neutral for about 5 second and when she appears press back and taunt multiple times.

Because if done right the girl will absorb the creature and play out a flashy animation. Upon end she should have a glowing aura around her along with new broken moves.
Her Down down triple punch turns into a full Kamehameha that just obliterates half of their health. Meanwhile her Z pattern kick does decent damage but just completely wipes out the enemies drive gauge. Not as in takes a chunk I mean it will fully break it upon block and even when full!
But again, this Ingrid Guide is more funsies with this as you will never pull this off mid match… Not unless the opponent has gone AFK!
Overall, Ingrid is a great zoning character that can pester the opponent leading up to big laser damage. Although her close-up anti air is decent and medium kick is great for pokes she excels at the ball game.
If the enemy presses upon being poke checked follow with FHP into a full combo.
