Infront, the Swiss sports marketing company, has signed a multi-year partnership with the Swedish esports tournament platform Epulze.
As a result, the two parties will work together to create a new Dota 2 esports tournament circuit called Masters of Gaming (MOG).
The release mentions that the MOG circuit will begin hosting Dota 2 events in Southeast Asia. The circuit will feature a $100,000 prize pool and will include teams from across Southeast Asia and China.
Open qualifiers for the inaugural tournament begin in May. The tournament itself will take place in July. Further information on the tournament has yet to be revealed.
“Dota2 has been a leading esports title for more than a decade.”
André Fläckel, Head of Gaming and Esports at Infront
Our newly formed partnership with Epulze for the Masters of Gaming provides brands, media as well as betting partners a highly attractive platform to engage with gamers and esports fans in the Southeast Asia region,” said André Fläckel, Head of Gaming and Esports at Infront.
This may be the first esports partnership for Infront. However, they have previously collaborated with the FIA World Endurance Championship and the World Curling Federation.
For Epulze, this is their first collaboration after securing a million-dollar investment in April 2021. The funding is to help Epulze enter a ‘new phase,’ which includes adding new game titles to its platform.
“We have been working hard on setting up this partnership, and we are excited about it.”
Mattias Lövgren, CEO of Epulze.
“With such a strong and amazing partner like Infront, we are, together, able to create this fantastic event,” commented Mattias Lövgren, CEO of Epulze.
Through this partnership, Infront and Epulze can create an engaging tournament for Dota 2 fans within Southeast Asia.
