The new Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact demo characters have been announced for EVO Japan!
Also, the platform and gameplay style details have been dropped as well.
But let’s take a closer look at the upcoming fighter and what it has in store for us.
Nen X Impact Demo Characters Evo
Since its announcement, Hunter X Hunter fans have been clambering for more Nen X Impact details.
Posted via their official Twitter account revealed a bucketload of deatils for HXH fans.

The biggest piece of news is its entrance into the EVO Japan lineup, along with its character roster. Of course, we have the six fighters that were featured in the teaser trailer.
Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Netero, and Hisoka make the cut. Not to anyone’s surprise, of course. They are not going to open up with the likes of Ging or Zepile now!
But we should expect more cahracters to make the cut, of course, post the EVO tounrament. Expect bug freaks like Meruem and theives like Chrollo to be playable.

If someone who does not know HXH is reading this, you must think I am having a stroke, but I assure you, these are names.
Now not only did we get the lineup and EVO participation, but we got the consoles as well. However, it looks like Xbox might be missing out on the HXH fun. Nen X Impact will be arriving on Switch, PC, and PS5.
That’s right, Nintendo fans, you are getting a fighter once more. Hopefully in a better state than MK1.
Honestly, great news for such a wide release on multiple platforms. Although Xbox is not listed, that is a bummer, but it is interesting to see a developer choose Switch over Xbox for once.
Steady 60 FPS and graphic fidellity, though, will have to be seen to be believed there.
2D Fighter
I am not afraid to admit when my predictions are wrong. It is rare and can be counted on one hand, but I confess.

Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact will not be a 3D anime fighter! No, instead, it will be a 2D anime fighter. That’s right, a 2D anime fighter instead of the dozen 3D arena ones.
Now, how will the mechanics and systems work in this 2D fighter? Well, for that, I do not have the answer. Honestly, how they intergrate Hunter X Hunter is completely up in the air.
We could get a simple bar-based team fighter like Dragon Ball Fighter Z. However, the implementation of Nen can lead to a really interesting dynamic.
Who knows, maybe we will have the next Marvel vs. Capcom 2 in our hands.
All I know is that this is the series that made an entire runtime dedicated to explaining why a character decided to run left down a corridor. If they can find a way to integrate that level of autonomy, then we will have something truly special on our hands.

Look if JoJo can work out three fighting mechanisms, with one being some of the best 2D fighting out there. I’m sure the Nen X Impact team can handle it.
