Where to find a fox in Minecraft?

Foxes can only spawn naturally in taiga and snowy taiga biomes, in groups of 2-4, most commonly at night. They may spawn in either adult or baby form. In the taiga, their coat is orange similar to a red fox, whereas, in a snowy taiga, they are white, similar to an arctic fox. A fox may also spawn in a village if it is within one of the taiga biomes.

Taming a Fox in Minecraft

Once you locate 2 foxes, you will need 2 sweet berries to convince them to breed. You also need 1 lead to tame your brand-new fox. To obtain sweet berries, harvest from a sweet berry bush. To craft a lead, place 4 strings and a slimeball on the crafting table. Note that the arrangement of these materials should be precisely as the image below dictates.

After locating two adult foxes, simply feed them a sweet berry each, this will cause the pair of foxes to begin breeding. You can feed a fox simply by holding a sweet berry in your hand and interacting with it.

The offspring of the player’s initiated breed trusts them. It doesn’t flee from the player as it grows up. An adult fox running away may cause the baby to do the same. Baby foxes follow nearby adult foxes.
