Is R9 the greatest Brazilian footballer of all time? Is he better than Cristiano? Wherever you rank O Fenômeno, there’s no denying his legacy leaves him as one of the best players of his generation.
What’s more, he’s also been the face of some of the most overpowered cards in the Fifa franchise. And now Fifa 23 players have the chance of playing with the Icon for absolutely nothing during the Team of the Season promo. Check out Gamelevate for our complete guide on how to pick up Prime R9 (96 OVR)!
How To Get Prime R9 For FREE
Good news! Picking up a free Prime Icon Ronaldo is one of the easiest achievements in Fifa 23 right now.
The only caveat is that players will only be getting the Brazilian on a 24-game loan basis. Still, that’s more than enough to complete FUT Champions Weekend League and say you’ve played with one of the GOATs.
This promo will allow players to unlock a player pick that includes R9, as well Prime Paolo Maldini (94 OVR) and Prime Iker Casillas (92 OVR). Ronaldo is easily the highest-rated of these options, but, if you’re in need of a loanee superstar for your squad, it’s nice to have options in other positions.
In order to claim this Icon Player Pick, all players need to do is follow these steps:
- Head to the FIFA 23 news page.
- Fill in your country, birthday and email address.
- Make sure the email address you provide is linked to your FIFA 23 Ultimate Team account.
- Click Sign Up
And you’re done! Sit back and wait for your Icon Player Pick to land. EA have claimed the loan player picks will land across Fifa 23 Ultimate Team on Friday 12th May 2023.
And don’t worry about being bombarded with spam with your email floating about the ether. Signing up for Fifa 23 news will only give you relevant news about upcoming products and promos from EA – handy updates as we continue on with TOTS and look forward to FC 24.
It should be noted that the offer is only available for FIFA 23 users on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via the EA app, Steam or Epic.
The Logitech Yeti Premium Streaming Kit offers everything you need to stream, including the Yeti Blackout USB mic, pop filter, and exclusive Streamlabs theme!
Is Prime R9 Worth It?
To convince you even further that it’s worth picking up Prime R9 for free, let’s take a closer look at the card on offer.
Ronaldo is currently selling for over nine million coins on the Ultimate Team marketplace, making it the third-most expensive card in the game behind Team of the Year (TOTY) Kylian Mbappe and TOTY Icon Ruud Gullit.
His Prime Icon card comes with a whopping 97 Pace, 95 Dribbling and 95 Shooting. Digging deeper, his highest stats include 98 Finishing, 97 Dribbling, 96 Ball Control, 96 Volleys, 95 Positioning and 95 Reactions.
The Brazilian also boasts both 5* Weak Foot and 5* Skill Moves, making him the ultimate striker you need up top in your squad.
