Riot Games normally do a great job of eliminating errors and bugs in VALORANT very quickly, however, one that keeps popping up for players all around the globe is VALORANT Error Code 43!
The Error Code reads “There was an error connecting to the platform please restart your game Client”, but sure enough as often as this happens, it’s just as often that restarting your game client does not fix this issue.
VALORANT Error Code 43 is quite common and is arguably one of the most regularly received Error Codes by players of VALORANT, but what does it actually mean, and more importantly, how can you fix it and get back to playing VALORANT?
What is VALORANT Error Code 43?
VALORANT Error Code 43 means that there’s a problem with the connection between you and the server that VALORANT runs off of whilst you’re trying to launch the game itself.
These errors are normally down to server-side issues, but there is also been instances where a corrupted game file can prevent VALORANT from launching successfully. Whilst restarting your client might help, this is not a guaranteed way of solving Valorant Error Code 43.
How to fix VALORANT Error Code 43?
The first thing we want you to try is pretty standard but it involves restarting your modem/Wi-Fi. We know this seems small, but often a soft reset of an internet connection can help stabilize any connection issues that VALORANT and Riot Games Client are having.
The next fix is also fairly simple but includes updating your drivers and restarting your computer, as well as troubleshooting through Windows or your Mac itself.
If these solutions are still not working for you we have a few more complicated ways a fixing VALORANT Error Code 43.
The other way to do this is by deleting the Riot Client setting file if restarting the game is not working. To do this just follow these simple steps:
- Try restarting your game and if this doesn’t work, move on to step two.
- If this hasn’t worked, delete the Riot Client setting file, which you can find by right-clicking your Riot Client and opening the file location on your computer.
- If this still doesn’t work, try and repair your VALORANT game files by using the VALORANT launcher and selecting ‘Repair’ from the drop-down menu.
This should fix Valorant Error Code 43, and if it appears to stop you from playing the FPS shooter that we all know and love, then it should no longer be doing so.
