Use Task Manager to Fix Discord stuck on starting
Sometimes force-closing an application via Task Manager is just what software needs to restart properly.
- Open Task Manager (You can do so via searching or with the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
- Click the Process tab, and scroll through until you find the Discord application. Click on it, and then click End Task in the bottom-right corner.
After doing this, simply try running Discord again, and hopefully, it should start up without a hitch.
Update Discord / Windows
Alternatively, something internal in your Windows or Discord software is causing the issue with it being outdated or incompatible after a recent patch.
To fix this, simply update your Windows PC via Windows Settings or head on over to the Discord website and download the latest version.
