How to fall 5 stories in Fortnite? As part of the latest Chapter 4: Season 3 update, Fortnite has a new set of challenges for players to overcome.
Fortnite breaks up its year into Chapters with smaller Seasons in each. Chapter 4: Season 3 (or Season 25) began on June 9, 2023, and will end on August 25, 2023. Themed around jungles and tropics, its slogan is WILDS.
As part of that theming, Fortnite bases a set of quests on the muscular cat character Purradise Meowscles.
How to fall 5 stories in Fortnite

Any area that has significantly tall zones will be a good spot to complete this quest. Using a Grind Rail or Air Vent will make this quest, pardon the pun, a breeze. Mega City is a classic zone for this.
The new Jungle biome (and its Rumble Ruins, Creeky Compound and Shady Stilts) features Grind Vines and Ascenders, or Hop Flowers. These can also give a great burst of mobility to safely avoid fall damage even after falling five stories.
For an even easier trick, players can use the Soaring Sprints augment. Build up some momentum with a run and then jump from high up, using the augment to land safely. This can be done anywhere sufficiently tall enough.
Completing the “fall 5 stories” challenge will reward the Calico Holiday, an Uncommon Wrap players can apply to their weapons or vehicles.
The Page 1 Quests are:
- Damage opponents with pistols or Heavy Sniper Rifles (0/500)
- Gain Shields (0/500)
- Fall 5 stories or more without taking damage (0/1)
- Bounce on bouncy objects (0/5)
- Collect fish (0/3)
Completing the Page 1 quests rewards the Purradise Meowscles Epic outfit and the Swole-cation Uncommon spray.
How high can you fall in Fortnite?
For any daredevils curious if they can fall more than 5 stories in Fortnite, then it’s useful to know how fall damage works.
Players take fall damage when they drop from a significant height. This happens either when they jump off themselves or if another player knocks them off or destroys where they’re standing.
Anything below 20 meters is completely harmless. Fatal fall damage occurs at 23 meters, which will damage players for the full 100 HP. The maximum damage a player can take is 500 HP.

It’s important to note that fall damage bypasses any Shield Points players might have.
Some ways for players to survive the fall (but still take damage) is to build a platform quickly underneath them mid-fall if near a wall. Alternatively, use the explosion from an Impulse Grenade or Shockwave Grenade to break the fall just before landing (although the timing is very precise).
Using any Bouncers also protects players from fatal drops. Alternatively, the Shadow Stone also gives players immunity to fall damage while invisible.
