Fans have been enjoying the Dragon Ball Z Sparking Local Multiplayer mode since release.
However, the game only lets us play on one map for this mode.
So within a week, the fans have created a mod that lets us use all maps for the mode!
DBZ Sparking Local Multiplayer All Maps
DBZ Sparking Local Multiplayer lets two players fight on the same screen. Although the game has a mode and it works well, we only get one map.

Players looking to fight on the couch are stuck in the Hyperbolich Time Chamber. An iconic area of course to DBZ, but not the most scenic.
Now, according to the developers, this was done on purpose so as not to frustrate players with the camera. But if I were a betting man, I would say it was a last-minute implementation.

Look nothing against our Japanese brothers, but the local multiplayer scene is not so big in Japan compared to the West. Also, most in-person fighting game action for them is done in arcades. So the last-minute addition definitely comes across as a bit of a rushed job.
However, thanks to Z Modz, we know we have a way around that. The modder found a way to enable all maps for Sparking Local Multiplayer.
Grab the mod over here on Nexus Mods.
But it does come with one caviet. No, the camera is actually fine, to be fair, and the frame rate does not tank in certain maps. Instead, we have to get a bit quirky when selecting the maps.

First boot up P1 vs. CPU and hover over the map you want to play. Secondly, back out and go onto player vs. player. Finally select the time chamber as usual, and you will be on the map you hovered over before!
It’s a little intrusive, but the fact it still works is amazing. A small price to pay for all maps on Sparking Local Multiplayer.
Ultra Instinct Krillin It
DBZ Sparking Local Multiplayer and Online has been a bunch of fun. Whether or not you prefer playing in person or online, the game itself still delivers. Although I would say that the online even tends to get a bit jumpy moreso than the mutplayer.

But keep in mind your Sparking Local Multiplayer experience depends on your PC specs. If you are running a potato CPU, then it may get a bit laggy at points.
However, it is still really early days for the mod, and it will only get better and more stable. At least I hope so! We may even see Sparking Local Multiplayer mods that enable it from one menu rather than hopping in and out.

So far from paytesting, I have only experienced one crash due to specs on my end. Big maps can get your rig to chunk, so be warned.
But let’s be real here; they should have enabled all maps from the getgo. Yes, I understand what they said, but it seems to me like a bit of a wrong choice to exclude all of them. Let’s be real: if you are playing on the couch with the boys, you do not care in this type of game if the frames dip a little bit.
Look, I played Naruto Shippuden locally, and that thing turned into a slideshow sometimes!
