Hanwha Life Esports have announced their roster for LCK 2023 featuring Kingen, Clid, Zeka, Viper, and Life.
Hanwha Life Esports acquired the roster and LCK spot of ROX Tigers back in 2018 and the organization has been competing in the league since then. HLE had ups and downs since 2018 and last year was not optimal. Getting only five wins in two splits surely made the board think twice about the upcoming season. According to the roster announcement, Hanwha Life Esports are going to be one of the strongest teams heading into the LCK 2023 season. Kingen, Clid, Zeka, Viper, and Life are going to form the lineup. HLE’s roster looks very solid on paper.
Hanwha Life Esports LCK 2023 Roster
- Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon
- Kim “Clid” Tae-min
- Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo
- Park “Viper” Do-hyeon
- Kim “Life” Jeong-min
Kingen and Zeka were two of the most important pieces of the DRX roster that won the Worlds 2022 trophy this year. Kingen had great performances on Aatrox. Zeka on the other hand proved himself to the community. Especially his semifinal performance against Scout was legendary. After proving himself in LCK, Clid left the league to join LPL representative FunPlus Phoenix. After an unsuccessful year, he made his return to South Korea. Clid is going to be the bridge between Zeka and Kingen. Viper and Life are the bot laners of the new roster. Just like Clid, Viper was also competing at LPL but for a different team, EDward Gaming. Life on the other hand spent last year at KT Rolster. Before that, he was a member of the Worlds 2021 Semifinalist Gen.G roster.
After a very unsuccessful year, Hanwha Life Esports have turned their eyes on the LCK 2023 prize. The roster looks capable of winning the title but their chemistry and individual forms will determine the result.
