Unfortunately, the GTA 6 trailer leaked one day before its official launch and Rockstar Games had no choice but to share it immedediately.
Just before Rockstar planned to show us the first trailer for GTA VI, there was a bit of a hiccup.
Someone, who’s not around anymore, leaked the whole thing on X, which used to be Twitter.
The official plan was to debut the trailer on Tuesday, December 5th, at 9 AM ET.
But Rockstar didn’t let the surprise stay spoiled for long.
They responded fast by putting the trailer up on their official YouTube channel.
GTA 6 trailer leaked and Rockstar didn’t waste any time
Even though the trailer got out sooner than expected, it spilled the beans on a bunch of things we’ve been hearing about GTA VI for the past two years.
It confirmed that the game is going to be set in Vice City, like everyone thought.
What’s cool is that GTA VI will have its first-ever female main character, and the story will be like the famous Bonnie and Clyde.
The trailer also told us the game is coming out in 2025. In a press release on Monday, Rockstar said it’s going to be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Unwrapping GTA 6 after ten years
GTA VI took ten whole years to make, and its first trailer was more than what people expected. It wasn’t just some symbol for the number six; it took us right into Vice City, a pretend version of Miami.
The trailer had all the things you’d expect in a GTA game: fast cars, crazy shootouts, lots of stolen money, and a big dose of American-style fun.
The focus was on one main character, Lucia, who started off in a prison outfit.
The trailer hinted that Lucia and her boyfriend are up to some mischief after getting out of jail.
Rockstar has had a tough time with leaks since 2022, but they faced another one over the weekend when an employee’s kid spilled a bit of info.
Despite the bumps, the official trailer is out now, and people on the internet are going nuts analyzing every bit of the first 90 seconds.
As we wait for GTA VI to hit in 2025, gamers are already buzzing with excitement, ready for what could be one of the best games of the decade.
