The Global Esports Federation (GEF) and the Singapore Esports Association (SGEA) have jointly established the Global Esports Games Organizing Committee (GEGOC) as well as signing a consultancy partnership with IMG.
The Global Esports Games
The flagship event of the GEF, the Global Esports Games (GEG), will bring together the global industry in celebration of esports, virtual sports, music, lifestyle, and entertainment. The GEG will also feature teams from across the world participating in multi-title esports competitions. Taking place in December annually, the games will be held in Singapore in 2021, Istanbul in 2022 and Riyadh in 2023.
President of Singapore Esports Association, Ng Chong Geng, stated that SGEA were honored to be part of the organizing committee alongside a capable team, and all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the 2021 GEG participants and fans will be taken in accordance with the prevailing pandemic advisory in Singapore.

Global Esports Federation and IMG: details of the partnership

IMG, a global leader in sports, lifestyle and media events, will act as a consultant and partner for Global Esports Federation. They will be working across a range of areas that include the production of 30 hours of live content, event management, marketing, media distribution, and sponsoring rights.
The co-chairs of the coordination commission for the GEG, Olympian Angela Ruggiero and Olympic Council of Asia chair Luzeng Song stated that the entire GEF community were excited to get back to working on global events as the December games come closer. The Singapore team and IMG are working around the clock to ensure that the event takes place with health and safety as top priorities.

This year’s GEG will run between December 17-19, 2021 and will feature multi-title esports competitions, the GEFcon (a global convention of thought leaders) and the GEFestival – a celebration of esports youth culture and more.
