The Global Esports Federation seeks to promote the credibility, legitimacy, and prestige of esports by bringing athletes, players, and industry leaders together on one platform, with 888 The New World their latest collaborator. Their core objectives include the establishment of esports federations, athlete wellness and standards for athletes’ relationships, organizing competitive and educational events, and overseeing their flagship event, the Global Esports Games. They have in total more than 125 global partners, over 100 of which are Esports Federations.
888 The New World is a digital art marketplace founded by anonymous crypto art collector “888”. The NFT marketplace’s first round of investors included names like Paris Hilton, Frank Wilder, and ThankYouX. 888 The New World will launch on the Flare Network, who have also recently announced a partnership with GEF.
“888” stated on Twitter that art can take many forms and expressions far beyond the visual experiences associated with today’s art scene.
Commenting on the partnership, Bosslogic of Marvel fame, who is among the investors of 888 The New World, recalled co-creating Shadowloo Showdown, once one of Australia’s biggest fighting game tournaments, and how video games have inspired him for so long. He stated that gaming is a part of every stage of our lives as entertainment, relief, and escape. Through the collaboration, the partners will bring awesome visuals and positive storytelling to design and entertainment communities around the world.
Another famous name, Paris Hilton, who is the Head of Entrepreneurship and Resonance at 888 The New World, warned everyone to brace themselves as such partnerships will offer limitless opportunities for creatives to both widen their reach as well as deepen authentic brand resonance with the global creative community.
