Riot Games added the card to VALORANT
Riot Games recently added a special player card in Valorant as a tribute to Gizem “Luie” Harmankaya, a Turkish gamer.
Luie, who played professionally for Unknownpros, sadly lost her life during a powerful earthquake in Turkey on February 6, 2023.
The quake affected many, with over 55,000 people losing their lives in Turkey and Syria, and another 100,000 getting injured. Luie, residing in the Kahramanmaraş region, couldn’t be rescued.
Luie holds a unique place in Valorant history as the first player ever featured on both a player title and card.
Despite her untimely departure, her impact on the gaming community remains.
