Turning a new leaf for the new year, Berlin-based G2 Esports recently released a new music track called “Detonate”.
Music has always been intertwined with esports and gaming. From backup soundtracks to pulsating themes for highlight clips, music creates the mood for fun and entertainment. Some of the more forward-thinking esports organizations, such as G2 Esports and Fnatic, are actively adding music to their brands.
Detonate features vocalists Jeris Johnson of TikTok fame and Theresa Jarvis of Yonaka. According to G2, “Telling powerful stories, winning, and having fun is what G2 is about. Detonate represents G2’s ambitions for the 2023 competitive season blowing up preconceived notions of the brand while celebrating the diversity and unity of the faces behind G2.”
