G2 locked in the A site on the Attack pistol with a quick execute. However, Joaquin “delz1k” Espinoza stuck the defuse on the back of his Barrier to sneak in the pistol win. G2 though, forced and went for another A execute, with two quick kills from Zygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas allowing them to respond immediately. G2 even converted their bonus round thanks to a double kill with the Blade Storm by Cista “keloqz” Wassim. A triple kill from Auni “AvovA” Chahade on the B execute made it 4-1 for the EMEA outfit.
KRU though, soon mounted a mini-comeback, even taking the lead at 5-4 on the back of a 1v1 clutch conversion from Angelo “keznit” Mori. Consecutive triple kills from keloqz handed G2 the initiative once again, with his team ending the first half on a 7-5 lead. G2 won the second-half pistol and even entered double figures, converting their bonus round on the back of another B retake.
Trailing 10-5, KRU opted for a quick A take on the weaker buy, with delz1k producing a quadkil on the postplant to win the thrifty. keznit opened up B site with a triple kill to make it a three-round game. keznit one-upped himself, with an ace on the 20th round on the A take to reduce the deficit to just two at 11-9. G2 though, brought up the map point, shutting down the B execute. The EMEA representatives secured a 13-9 win on Icebox retaking the B site with ease on the 22nd round.
KRU started brightly on Haven, winning the pistol with a patient A execute. G2 responded on their first full-buy, with keloqz popping off once again with a quadkill to lock down A site. KRU though, soon extended their lead to 5-1, with keznit getting three influential kills at C site to turn the 2v4 postplant in their favour.
G2 started figuring KRU out to an extent and equalized things at 5-5 on the back of an Operator triple kill from keloqz from behind A site default. KRU decided to take a tactical timeout to talk things over. But, G2 were far from cooling down and proceeded to win the next couple of rounds to grab a 7-5 lead once again.
G2 baited the KRU rotation towards A after an early skirmish and chose to fall to C, planting the spike and defending it to win the pistol. A massive triple kill from AvovA on the late A execute with the Spectre allowed G2 to convert their bonus round as well.
Trailing 11-5, KRU spurred on to record two successful retakes to come within four rounds of equalizing the score. nukkye used the Run it Back to run down B site and grab the kill on Nicolas “Klaus” Ferrari near Garage window. G2 proceeded to execute a C split afterward with success to bring up the match point. An A execute yielded G2 the plant, with Jose “koldamenta” Luis Aranguren closing out things with a double kill from under heaven.
