Fortnite is almost always collaborating with someone or something, and this time around the game is partnering with Free Guy, a live-action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds. The film revolves around a man who discovers he’s an NPC in a sandbox computer game. This collaboration, like all others, will introduce a themed cosmetic to the item shop, which in this case is the Dude skin. The Dude hit the item shop at 8 PM ET on August 12, so if you are looking to buy the skin make sure to head to the item shop before it’s too late.
However, players can acquire his emote without spending any V-Bucks and also complete some extra tasks for extra XP to level their Battle Pass faster. Here is a complete guide to all the Free Guy challenges in Fortnite that have arrived as part of this fascinating crossover.
Free Guy ATM locations in Fortnite:
Every Free Guy challenge in Fortnite requires you to visit a separate ATM to begin. These ATMs are scattered throughout the. They look precisely what you’d expect from an ATM. The map below indicates where each one may be found. When you interact with an ATM, you’ll see a video of Ryan Reynolds instructing you what to do.

Get hit by a moving vehicle
While this isn’t the intended way to complete this challenge, it works and is relatively easy compared to other methods. To complete this challenge, find a car and drive it to a place far away from other opponents. Then build a ramp and place the car on it. After placing the car, go underneath the ramp and destroy it causing the vehicle to drop down on you and completing the challenge. Take melee damage
This Free Guy challenge in Fortnite is rather self-explanatory. To complete it, simply let yourself be hit by an opponent player’s melee attack (pickaxe), or even an enemy NPC or animal. Animals are the most obvious options since they do not utilize weapons.
Place coins around the map
Once you’ve accepted the quest, you’ll be tasked with placing three coins around the map. Here are all of the coin locations on the map:
Talk to any NPC
So far there are 19 characters across the map to talk to, but there will likely be more that will be added throughout the season. You can choose any NPCs for this one, just make sure to run through their quest-specific dialog options when you approach them. Here is a map of the current characters as of now:
Reboot or revive teammates, or interact with a campfire
This is by far the simplest Free Guy challenge of the bunch since this does not require Fortnite players to go out of the way to complete it. The challenge is pretty self-explanatory, simply reboot or revive teammates if you are playing duo or squad playlists. However, if you are a solo player then interacting with one of the several campfires using 30 wood should be enough to complete the challenge.
Use Good Guy Emote in front of an opponent
Completing the previous challenges will give players access to the exclusive Good Guy emote, which apart from being a spectacular emote offers a perk itself. Players can use the emote to earn even more XP by simply equipping it in the vicinity of an opponent. If you do not want to risk your precious K/D stats, you can even complete it in a Team Rumble match where you don’t have to worry about dying.
