Fortnite servers offline: Big Bang event bust

Fortnite servers offline due to the huge live event for the new chapter, and players from all around the world are not happy!

The big finale for Fortnite OG, known as The Big Bang event, was something everyone was looking forward to.

Imagine an in-game concert with Eminem, and you get to choose your Eminem Fortnite Skin – pretty cool, right?

The last time we had a live event like this was back in December 2022, as Epic Games took a break from it for most of 2023.

But, before we could enjoy all the fun, Fortnite OG needed a little break for maintenance. It meant saying goodbye to the old and getting ready for The Big Bang event at 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST on December 2.

Once the event wrapped up, Fortnite Chapter 5 was set to begin, bringing exciting stuff like a Lego collaboration, a racing game mode, and a rhythm game mode.

Due to long queue times, people started searching “Fortnite servers offline” on Google, and here is why!

Now, here’s where things got a bit tricky.

Many players got worried because the wait times to join the first live event were crazy long.

Epic Games saw the problem and decided to add two more showings of The Big Bang to make up for it.

But, even with the extra shows, lots of players were stuck waiting in line, hoping to catch the live show.

Fortnite takes a timeout

The first event got way more attention than expected! Epic Games had to take Fortnite offline for a bit to deal with the unexpected rush.

The idea was to set up more shows so everyone could get a chance to join in on the fun.

While the servers were taking a break, Epic Games assured everyone that they’d soon spill the beans on the next showtimes.

So, even though there was a little hiccup, there’s still a lot to look forward to in the world of Fortnite. Keep your eyes peeled for updates as we get ready for more adventures in Fortnite Chapter 5!
