Fortnite Refer a Friend 3.0: How to get skins

Fortnite Refer a Friend 3.0 is back. Players can earn in-game rewards by playing with up to five friends by introducing or reintroducing them to the popular battle royale.

The player inviting others (the “referrer”) and the invited players (the “referrees”) can earn five cosmetic items, including a new skin.

Fortnite Refer a Friend 3.0: How it works

First, the player must log into and register on the Fortnite Refer a Friend website.

Then, they can invite up to five new or returning players to complete up to five tasks together.

A new player is anyone who has never played Fortnite before. A returning player is anyone who has played less than two hours of Fortnite’s Battle Royale or Zero Build – Battle Royale modes in the last 30 days before the invite. This covers all modes: Solos, Duos, Trios or Squads.

Each task has an associated reward. Completing the task earns both the referrer and the referree that reward.

Only the referrer needs to be registered on the Fortnite Refer a Friend website. The referrees can register on the website to track progress if they like, but it’s optional. However, both need to be in-game friends for it to qualify.

Note that a referrer can invite up to five friends, but can only gain each reward once. The same applies to referrees.

Similarly, anyone who participated once (either as a referrer or referree) can’t participate again as the other role.

What are the Refer a Friend rewards?

The five rewards for the five tasks are all themed on the Redcap mushroom character.

Players can earn the following by completing each reward’s associated tasks. They are:

• Redcap’s Revenge spray: Create a connection
• Wild Redcap’s wrap: Play 1 match of Fortnite with selected friend
• Portable Portabello back bling: Place Top 10 6 times with selected friend
• Shiitake Slasher pickaxe: Eliminate 45 opponents in Fortnite with selected friend
• Redcap outfit: Gain 50 cumulative account levels with selected friend

Like the Jujutsu Kaisen or Khaby Lame collaborations, the Fortnite Refer a Friend 3.0 program is time restricted.

The program runs until January 9, 2024. This means that
