Tournament Recap
It all came down to the last game. Ultimately, Henrik “Hen” Mclean, Tai “TaySon” Starcic, and Moussa “Chapix” Fauor were able to pull off an incredible win. Going into the final game, their team had built up a sizeable lead with 545 points. At that point, the second-place team of Iwo “Setty” Zając, Michal “Kami” Kamiński, and Maciej “Teeq” Radzio were sitting at 496 points.
However, with the new format of double points for day two, there was a real possibility of a leaderboard shake-up in the final game. It should be noted that Setty, Kami, and Teeq were just coming off the heels of a Victory in the FNCS Season Finals. This last game was truly shaping up to be a battle of champions.
In an amazing turn of event, Tayson’s team were eliminated mid-way through the last game. However, they had managed to shoot up to 579 points before their elimination. At that point, they could only nervously watch to see what would unfold. Immediately after the first-place team had fallen, Kami was eliminated. The 2nd place team now only had two surviving members available to win the tournament. Soon thereafter, Anas “Anas” El-Abd shot Setty out from the high ground. Setty died to fall damage and only teeq was left as the last member of team. He needed to get to 579 points for his team to win. Unfortunately for teeq, his rotate placed him in a box with a full enemy trio and he too was eliminated. This ensured that there would be no other team that could overtake the ultimate champions of Hen, Tayson, and Chapix.

Drop Spot Battle
One of the most interesting events of the EU region was the Battle for Steamy Stacks. There were two teams that were trying to dominate this POI and their feud had been going on for almost the entire season. The combatants were Benjy “BenjyFishy” David Fish, Martin “Mr. Savage” Foss Andersen, Endre “Endretta” Byre versus Danila “Malibuca” Yakovenko, Andrey “Merstach” Piratov, Nikita “shizogod” Burim. This was the most highly anticipated drop spot contest and, ultimately, it was won by BenjyFishy’s team. During the final two games, Malibuca’s team finally decided to switch locations. They dropped successfully at Corny Crops once and unsuccessfully at Holly Hedges for the last game. It took almost a year, but Endretta, BenjyFishy and Mr. Savage finally pushed Malibuca and company out of Steamy Stacks. The ultimate result was that both teams ended up with less points than if they had dropped at uncontested POIs.
Organization Results
Guild became the number one European Fortnite organization with Hen in first, Anas in third, and JannisZ in fourth place. The other esports organizations that had very good results included Falcons, Become Legends, Galaxy Racer, Astralis, Wave, Cyber Legacy, and TheCartel. With the recent signing of Th0masHD, it will be interesting to see how Astralis builds their Fortnite team for next season.
