Fortnite developers now have access to Fortnite Communities, a new tool designed to help creators communicate directly with players. Developers can start setting up channels, drafting posts, and sharing updates about islands, events, feedback requests, and more.
This feature will launch to players soon. When it does, creators will be able to publish posts both inside Fortnite and on fortnite.com, giving them a new way to grow their audience and keep players informed.
How to Set Up Your Fortnite Community
Getting started only takes a few steps:
- Review the updated Fortnite Developer Rules and the new Communities Guidelines.
- Sign in to the Fortnite Communities site using your Epic account.
- Create your community and set up channels organized by island or topic.
- (Optional) Link channels directly to your islands.
- Write a post using text or images, then preview the final look.
- Publish your post. It appears instantly on the Communities website and enters moderation before appearing in Fortnite.
- Manage your community as the owner. You can control visibility, delete posts or replies, and view analytics in the Creator Portal.
For a deeper breakdown, Epic has provided full documentation on the Communities system.
Posting Announcements to Fortnite
To push your announcements into Fortnite, simply link your channel to an island. Once linked, your updates will also appear across:
- Your island’s Lobby
- The Following tab in Discover
- A new Community Highlights section on your Creator Page and Island Details Page
This gives players more ways to stay connected with your updates and new content.

Epic plans to expand Fortnite Communities even further. Upcoming additions include:
- Turning off replies on specific posts
