Epic Games is taking Fortnite into the world of video game history with Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, launching on Aug. 20, 2026.
The new season revolves around a Gaming Legends theme and features characters from some of the industry’s most recognizable franchises. Alongside new gameplay content and themed locations, players can expect a packed selection of Battle Pass and Item Shop cosmetics.

Sonic’s presence extends beyond the Battle Pass. The confirmed Sonic-themed cosmetics include:

- Rush Sidekick
- Tails Glider
This gives players several ways to build a Sonic-themed loadout.
Kingdom Hearts
Sora, the main protagonist of Kingdom Hearts, is also joining Fortnite. His cosmetics include a Keyblade-inspired pickaxe, making the collaboration particularly recognizable for Kingdom Hearts fans.
Mega Man, Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro
Several legendary gaming mascots are also part of the Season 4 lineup.

How to get the Override Battle Pass skins
Players who want to collect the eight Battle Pass skins will need to progress through the Season 4 Battle Pass.
The basic process is:
- Purchase the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass after the season begins.
- Earn XP by playing matches and completing challenges.
- Progress through the Battle Pass to reach the required reward levels.
- Claim the skins and other rewards as they become available.
The crossover skins listed for the Item Shop are separate from the Battle Pass. Players will need to spend V-Bucks when those cosmetics appear in the shop.
Since Item Shop selections rotate, some collaborations may only be available for a limited period before returning at a later date.
