Epic has finally launched the first season of Fortnite Chapter 4 which fans all over the world have been highly excited about.
Along with the new map, there are a whole slew of new guns, new mechanics, and just new ways of doing things. One of the many fun aspects of this new chapter is the addition of Dirt Bikes for mobility. Another one is a shockwave hammer which will bounce you and your opponents around the map. We’ll dive into all the details provided by Epic. However, let’s briefly discuss the season launch event as well.
Chapter 4 Season 1 Live Event
According to many fans, the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 finale event was decent but not as exciting as finales from previous seasons. In particular, the mecha robot battle versus the sea monster live event from Chapter 1 Season 9 was simply epic. It could go down as one of the best live season-ending events in gaming history.
Conversely, this season’s event was a bit subdued although the chrome effects were interesting. The event did offer some interesting interactivity for players. In addition, it also showed teasers about what to expect for the upcoming gameplay. So, now let’s look at all the upcoming goodies for Chapter 4 Season 1:
The Map and New Points of Interest
After the events of Chapter 3’s finale, a new Island has formed. Here are just some of the sights you’ll encounter in this realm:

Steer Your Dirt Bike
One of the many ways to get to these places? The trusty, two-wheel Trail Thrasher. Perform tricks on this dirt bike and use weapons as you ride.
Reality Augments Add More Choices
At intervals in your match, you’ll be given a randomized choice of two Reality Augments. The longer you remain in the match, the more Reality Augments you’ll collect. Reality Augments last until the match’s end.

The weapons above aren’t the only new items. In addition to returning healing items, restore yourself with new ones:

No healing items nearby? Seek Sky Jellies
Shoot Drones for Loot
Speaking of things in the air, certain points of interest (POIs) at random will be dubbed Hot Spots at the beginning of the match. (Look for the POIs with gold text on your map!) These POIs are filled with flying drones holding high-rarity weapons — shoot down as many drones as you can and revel in your fortune.
Territory Capture Points Marks Opponents
Conquer with your squad. Stay in a POI’s Capture Point long enough and your team’s Banners will be put on display, marking your team’s control of the POI. In a POI your squad’s claimed, Chests and opponents will be marked. Just watch out for anyone who tries to claim it first.
Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass
With this Season’s Battle Pass purchase, you’ll immediately unlock “Star of the Show” Selene. Progress through the Battle Pass to unlock these other Outfits:
