Epic’s incredibly popular battle-royale game Fortnite turned four this weekend, September 26, and the Birthday celebrations are already underway.
The Fortnite Birthday event is now live there’s cake, presents scattered around the map, as well as free prizes for those who complete the challenges that have been released alongside. The event will be live from September 24, 2021, at 9 AM ET until September 28, 2021, at 2 AM ET.
Fortnite Birthday Challenges
There are a total of three challenges each rewarding a free Fortnite birthday cosmetic. While you can complete these challenges in any order, you’ll unlock the rewards in the same order since the cosmetics are won by completing one, two, and three birthday challenges respectively. Here are the Fortnite Birthday Challenges:
Dance in front of birthday cakes (4)
This quest requires you to dance in front of four birthday cakes. Approach and emote in front of the birthday cake. Repeat the same with the other three cakes, and you’ll be rewarded when you leave the match. You can find these cakes in several POIs.
Consume birthday cakes in different matches (4)
There are numerous cake pieces near the birthday cakes on the map. If you eat a piece, you will gain HP or Shield. This task is fairly straightforward to complete because you’ll be visiting the same sites as the previous challenge.
Throw birthday presents (4)
This challenge requires you to throw four birthday presents and since they are a Legendary rarity item, you may have to do some hunting before finding one. Once you locate a birthday present, simply toss it like any other throwable. You can either hurl it at your feet, causing it to open up around you, or you can throw it someplace else and then break one of its walls to earn yourselves precious loot. You will have to repeat this process four times to complete the challenge.
The birthday cosmetics include a fourth birthday sticker, pickaxe, and back bling, each topped up by several servings of purple cake. These challenges are nearly identical to those in last year’s birthday event, so hopefully completing them won’t be much of a hassle.
