The Fifa 23 RTTF Team 1 has been revealed, with some tasty-looking cards up for grabs. The RTTF (Road to the Final) promo has been about Fifa for a number of years now, rewarding players for their real-life performances in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Team 1 Lineup
In Fifa 22, Gareth Bale’s RTTF card shot up to 95 OVR, showcasing the potential of the promo.
For Fifa 23, the headliners are Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, Real Madrid’s David Alaba and Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka. However, there are also stars from Arsenal, Man United and Barcelona on offer.

Road To The Final Upgrade System
As we mentioned earlier, RTTF players get upgrades to their cards based on their team’s performances in real life. For Fifa 23, EA have introduced a brand new upgrade system which now includes upgrades to skill moves and weak foot abilities.
Here are the criteria EA are using for RTFF upgrades:
- Win 1st knockout game after promo launch – +1 in-form upgrade
- Quality for Quarter-Finals – +1 in-form upgrade
- Qualify for Semi-Finals – +1 in-form upgrade and three new traits
- Qualify for Final – 5-star weak foot upgrade
- Win Final – +1 in-form upgrade and 5-star skill moves upgrade
Again, these criteria are based on a team’s performance, rather than the individual’s. A player does not have to feature in a match to benefit from an upgrade. Naturally, once a team is eliminated from a competition, a player can no longer receive upgrades.
Each Fifa 23 RTTF upgrade will occur at the end of the to coincide with the end of the UEFA competition rounds. Here are the full dates of the upgrades:
Each RTTF upgrade will occur at the end of each week when the stage of the competition has concluded. Here are the dates that upgrades should be made in-game, according to the leaker.
- 1st upgrade: Friday, February 24
- 2nd upgrade: Friday, March 17
- 3rd upgrade: Friday, April 21
- 4th upgrade: Friday, May 19
- 5th upgrade: Friday, June 12
